How do I know if my old vintage Camera is taking pictures?!?
Hi all,
I have “Kodak Brownie No. 2A Folding Camera” 1915, film camera.
I got the film, now how do I know that it is taking photos actually!!!!

It is “OLD VINTAGE CAMERA 1915″ it doesn’t have an LCD!!

Set the shutter to 1/25 second or 1/50 (I think those are the choices) and with the back open click the shutter – if you see the shutter open and close really quickly you are fine. You will have to use your judgement here but if you are happy that the shutter setting are near accurate then go ahead – take pictures.
I assume you have checked the bellows out for being really light tight. Near 100 year old cameras do develop leaks!
I also assume you know how to wind the film on using the red rear window – contact me if you are unsure about this. You will also need to cover the red window with something between wind-ons. These were made for slow b&w film that was not red-sensitive. Current films are very fast and very sensitive so a blob of blue tack or chewing gum or something – anything as long as it is opaque to light.
